*Birthday Bulge*

In my week long birthday celebration I’ve gained back more then just a few pounds. Almost all of the past week I’ve been eating bad things like ice cream cake, shrimp tempura sushi, BBQ ribs, macaroni-n- cheese, prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes, seafood pasta, etc.; its all been so delicious, but has seriously added to my waistline. I plan on getting back on track tomorrow morning, waking up at 6am to squeeze in my exercise routine before work, and going back to avoiding potatoes, corn, soda, and all that. I have a new mini-goal now, which is not only to drop down below 270lbs, but also to get into a size 18 by the 3rd week in June (I’m between a size 22 and 20 right now); not a lot of time I know…but I’m staying positive, and I’m super motivated to stay active and adhere to my eating plan.

Injured…now what?

So I went to Vegas this past week and overall had a blast. I enjoyed the lights, shows, people, gambling, food, etc.; however I did get hurt, I sprained my ankle and have a small fracture in my wrist. How? I honestly have no idea, but anyways this unfortunately takes me off aerobic exercise for at least two weeks, which really worries me since I’ve already gained back 1.5 pound while staying out there. I’m going to try to be extra cautious about what I eat, but I really doubt that will be enough.  Hopefully I’ll be able to get better soon, and resume my workouts. If anybody has any alternative workout ideas for me I’d greatly appreciate it, thanks.

2 More Pounds Down!!

Well I got on the scale again this week, and I’m down 2 more pounds! Its not a lot of weight shed, but I’m really happy. I actually wasn’t expecting to see the scale go down at all this week; because although I’ve continued to eat healthy, I’ve been really slacking a lot on the exercise. I only worked out 2 times this past week, both sessions for 50 minutes. Next week though I plan on working out earlier in the morning (around 7am)and adding 5 cardio sessions instead of just 3.  Hopefully then I could possibly lose 10lbs-12lbs by my next weigh-in, which is in another two weeks.  My next major goal is to lose close to 20lbs by the end of November! That way I’ll have reached my first target weight of 270lbs! I Know I Can Do It!!

So today was a pretty lousy day for me so far, but then I got on the scale, and my day started looking up. I went from 300 to 292 in two weeks! I’m so glad! I’m hoping that in the next two weeks I’ll be able to lose around another 5-10 pounds.  The only thing that sucks is that when I exercise, my knees and left ankle tend to get sore. I wrap my ankle now, so its not too bad, but my knees are still a bit achy.  Anyone else experiencing this? Well anyways hopefully everyone else is doing just as great. I hope everyone is seeing progress, and if not be patient, I didn’t lose anything the first week, which was discouraging. So I’m actually really surprised the dial went down on the scale this week. If we keep striving, I’m positive we’ll all see results!

I’m crawling back…

So I know I’ve been away for a while, I completely slipped downhill, and hit a bigger low then before. In August my boyfriend of over a year and I broke up, and I just literally became a human blob. I just sat in bed all day watching t.v. and eating junk food.  I ended up gaining back the 25 pounds I had lost, and then some.  But anyways, I was watching Truelife: I’m Obese (where are they now) on MTV the other day, and was totally inspired to get back at it.  Today I walked 2 miles, did 50 crunches, 25 (girl) push-ups, and 10 minutes of yoga.  I’m hoping to keep this routine up, and do it Monday-Friday, early in the morning before I have to go to class.  I’m also going to try to come on here at least twice a week, and write about my how the week is going for me so far, and to send messages of  support to my friends. They’ve been doing phenominally while I’ve been gone, its so amazing!! I’m hoping I can catch up to them soon! They are a huge inspiration and support system for me, I greatly appreciate it!

Fell Through…

Today’s been pretty bad, I got into a huge fight with my boyfriend last night, and again this morning, and since then I’ve been slipping downhill. Today I ate 8 shortbread cookies, and I’m seriously trying not to reach for the pint of Ben & Jerry’s. I didn’t even make an attempt to exercise at all either. I definitely gotta make tomorrow a better day for me though. Hopefully everything picks up…
